Google Workspace

Google's paid productivity suite for organisations, formerly G Suite, which hosts business email on Gmail under the organisation's own domain.

What it means

Google Workspace provides Gmail, Calendar, Drive and other apps for organisations, with mail on their own domain. As a recipient, a Workspace domain is filtered by Gmail's systems, and administrators can add their own rules. As a sender, a Workspace account is limited: 2,000 messages per user a day (500 for trial accounts), 10,000 total recipients, 3,000 external recipients a day, and up to 24 hours of blocked sending after a limit is reached.

Google's sender guidelines and the 5,000-a-day bulk definition concern mail to personal Gmail accounts; M3AAWG noted in 2019 that Google's business hosting had no feedback loop.

MX records pointing to Google show that a recipient domain is on Workspace.
