Microsoft 365
Microsoft's business suite, whose email runs on Exchange Online and is filtered by Exchange Online Protection, separately from the consumer Outlook.com service.
What it means
Microsoft describes Exchange Online as a hosted messaging solution delivering email, calendar, contacts and tasks. Every cloud mailbox gets the built-in protection documented as Exchange Online Protection, which sets the SCL and BCL values visible in the X-Forefront-Antispam-Report and related headers of delivered messages; organisations can add Defender for Office 365 or put a third-party gateway in front.
As a sender, a Microsoft 365 mailbox has a recipient rate limit of 10,000 recipients a day on its business plans, and Microsoft advises customers sending legitimate bulk commercial email to use specialised providers.
What reaches the inbox at a Microsoft 365 company depends on that company's policies as well as Microsoft's filters.
