Verified Mark Certificate
A BIMI mark certificate for a registered trademark or government mark, issued after the certification authority verifies the organization and the trademark.
What it means
A VMC is the more rigorous of the two mark certificates. To get one, the logo must be a registered trademark with an office recognized by VMC issuers (or a government mark), and the issuing authority validates both the organization and the mark. Google notes trademark registration itself can take 6 to 12 months.
In Gmail, mail from a domain with a VMC shows the logo and a checkmark next to the sender. Google recommends a VMC over a CMC where possible.
