What it means

Orange checks connecting servers against several real-time blocklists, and code 100 names the Abusix one. Your sending IP is on it, so Orange refuses the mail. Orange does not handle this listing itself: its resolution is to look the IP up at lookup.abusix.com, which shows the listing and how to have it removed. Orange also advises senders to monitor their IP and domain on Abusix, Spamhaus and Cloudmark as a matter of routine, so a listing is caught before Orange sees it.

Common causes

  • Spam or abusive traffic from the IP was seen by Abusix.
  • The IP is in a range Abusix lists, for example as dynamic or unauthenticated.
  • A previous user of the IP left it listed.

How to fix it

  1. 01Look the IP up at lookup.abusix.com.
  2. 02Fix the cause given there and follow the Abusix removal process.
  3. 03Retry once the listing is gone, and keep monitoring the IP.
