Yahoo Mail

Yahoo's consumer email service, which also hosts AOL Mail. One set of sender requirements, one Sender Hub and one feedback loop cover both brands.

What it means

Yahoo says its sender requirements apply to all domains and consumer email brands hosted by Yahoo Mail, which includes AOL (Yahoo Japan is a separate company). Senders get Sender Hub, with requirements, FAQs and error codes, a dashboard of delivery statistics per domain, and the Complaint Feedback Loop for DKIM-signing domains.

Yahoo requires a spam rate below 0.3% for all senders and, for bulk senders (a threshold it does not specify), SPF and DKIM, DMARC at p=none or stricter, one-click unsubscribe and unsubscribes honoured within 2 days. Mail that misses them may go to spam or be rejected with a specific error code.

Yahoo's temporary deferrals carry codes such as TSS04 in the reply text.
