rua tag
The DMARC tag listing the addresses, usually mailto: URIs, where receivers should send aggregate reports for the domain.
What it means
rua=mailto:dmarc@example.com asks receivers to send daily aggregate reports to that mailbox. Several addresses can be listed, separated by commas. Without rua, receivers must not send aggregate reports at all, so a record without it gives the owner no visibility.
If the reporting address is in a different organizational domain, such as a DMARC reporting service, that domain must authorize it by publishing a record at example.com._report._dmarc.reports.example.net. Otherwise receivers ignore the address.
Reports can arrive in large numbers. Use a dedicated mailbox or a report processing service rather than a personal inbox.
