- The sender. The fix is on the sending side: your domain, your server or your list.
What it means
Microsoft documents three tenant-level refusals for HVE. 550 5.7.241 means the sender is in a trial tenant, which HVE does not support. 550 5.7.242 means the tenant is inactive. 550 5.7.243 means the tenant is blocked from using HVE, and Microsoft directs those cases to its support. Each message tells the user to contact their administrator. None of them concerns a particular message: every HVE submission from the tenant fails until its status changes.
Common causes
- The tenant is a trial tenant (5.7.241).
- The tenant is inactive (5.7.242).
- The tenant has been blocked from using HVE (5.7.243).
How to fix it
- 01Admins: check the tenant's subscription status in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
- 02For a trial tenant, move to a paid subscription before using HVE.
- 03For a blocked tenant, contact Microsoft support for more information.
